The word is out

So as most everyone has heard by now, we are having a little girl! As we have heard, bust out the "pink, ruffles, dresses, sparkles and princesses". I had the feeling it was a little girl, but we were still so suprised when we saw the ultrasound of the little lady! The first ultrasound was at 8 weeks. It was a little peanut, and that's about all we saw. This time, because BR is bigger, we were able to see some really cool things. Once she cooperated. Initially, she was dancing around the ultrasound head. Didn't want to cooperate initially! Then, she turned around and showed us her fannie, not very nice, but we were able to confirm that BR was in fact a she. Little lines near the fannie that look like a "hamburger". No hotdog! We saw the skeleton of the face, to which JR replies "SKELETOR!!! Look at that little lady alien". Upon closer inspection, we noticed she has a great jaw bone structure. Thanks daddy and Kearns family line! :)We got to see BR's sweet little feet and toes. I can feel her occasionally, like she's fluttering those little feet. I'm so ready to meet her and kiss her little toes!!My favorite view (after finding that BR was a she) was the side profile. She was just a wiggling, kicking and flailing, then she calmed down and sucked her little thumb. When she was calm, we could see her heartbeating. wild! We are both so excited to hear that BR is a little lady! JR was a little disappointed because "I can't dress the baby just like me in khakis, polos and little boat shoes". So I went to TJMaxx today and got two little (ralph lauren polo) dresses for her next summer... in two shades that JR has. So Daddy and daughter can match! :) And of course, I got a little romper for her first few months. He was very excited. I am a super nerd again... looking forward to the next appointment. They do an ultrasound and measure every important body part. The femur, the kidneys, the heart, the brain. Yay for anatomy! Can't wait to see her again!
