Registery Diaster

I remember when I went to set up my bridal registery. I had no clue what I needed to "keep a house" or what kind of utensils were better than others, why the difference in thread count sheets happened to matter. In fact, I didn't know a lot about anything, except the fact that I was excited to get married and that I was (and still am) so in love with my JR. :)

So when I went to set up my baby registery I had a lot of the same feelings and reservations. I don't know what's needed for a crib, or why the difference in bottles happen to matter. I have a lot to learn. But like when I set up my bridal registery, I was looking forward to the goody bag and the "LIST". The breakdown of everything and even more of what you could possibly ever need, and everything you definitely could use at some point in time.

Dismay. Disappointment. Diaster! Not only were the workers of my local stores rude and less than helpful, but they were also clueless. Neither store had a "goodie bag" or a list of necessities. Neither store offered assistance. And as much as I love going through the store and using the "clicker" to add items to the desired list, there were some issues with that. 1. I didn't know what I needed to add, 2. half of the time the clicker wouldn't work, 3. the other half of the time the clicker would add the wrong item or say "out of stock". It's not out of stock, the item is in my hand! Urgh!

So I have semi-successfully setup regesteries at Target and Babies R'Us. I did gender neutral items (except one of the clickers accidentally added pink items a few times when I know for sure I scanned yellow or green items in the store. I chuckled when I got home. Could this be a sign?!?)
